E. Stephen Mack, 33, was born in London and currently lives in Mountain View, California. He is the manager of the operations group at TiVo, and he teaches (part-time) at San Jose State University.
A graduate of U.C. Berkeley in Linguistics, Stephen once studied Hapkido (a Korean martial art) at the UCB Hapkido Club; he is currently a self-defense instructor for Bay Area Model Mugging (BAMM) / Impact.
He really loves "alternative" music sung by women, especially Tori Amos, Kate Bush, P.J. Harvey, Frente, Liz Phair, and Bettie Serveert.
Stephen is the administrator of ObFic, a fiction zine/writer's group project, and he is always writing new short stories; one of his stories was selected as a Finalist in a recent Writers of The Future competition.
Stephen sometimes goes by the nickname "Zeigen." His organization is Winter Weather. He desires to spend the rest of his life talking about himself in the third person. Those are the facts.
