There was a band partially leaving the stage, leaving one guy to play a hot acoutic guitar solo - shame I didn't see more. My seat was 4th row middle, straight in front - WOW. The road crew took about 40 minutes to get the set changed over (WHY?) 30mins, almost nothing happened - it looked like they were waiting....... The set was harpicord pointing left, bosendorg pointing right, and she sat between them. The usual set of mobile lamps tracked back and forth. The backdrop was two sets of star bulbs, and a white triangle projection that odd background videos were projected onto. There were also various fill lights, including UV, Tori came on stage to "son of a preacher man". She made a comment about "being about 9 years old" at the beginning, and growing up as she went on. She look absolutely terrified........ During the night, there were almost no spoken links between the songs. Also, I don't remember her doing any covers. All of these are very different to the usual performance, so I presume it was a bad case of first night nerves. For some numbers, Steve joined her on guitar - either synth-type sounds as background, or acoustic riffs, He very quitely just got on with it, and was intoduced as "playing with her on every album, even on YKTR" (sick grin). The entire set was about 2 hours, finishing around 10:40 after two encores. The numbers I remember her doing (3 days ago, so I'm sure there were others) were Beauty Queen/Horses (opening) Leather Crucify Past the mission Take to the sky God(?) Putting The Damage On(?) Cornflake girl Red Baron Me and a gun Caught A Lite Sneeze Talula, Doughnut Song, Mr.Zebra, Hey Jupiter (last song) Tori was her usual stunning self while singing, but as I said, almost silent between tracks..
