NOTES:
1. "Down By The Seaside" is a duet with Robert Plant on the
Led Zeppelin tribute album titled "Encomium".
2. The recorded version of "Famous Blue Raincoat" is on the
Leonard Cohen tribute album scheduled for release Sept 25, 1995.
3. The song "It's A Happy Day" was written by Camilla Wharton
and sung by Tori when she was a teenager. It was done as
a demo and never commercially released.
4. Tori's version of "Whoomp! There It Is" was done as a
joke improv at a radio station appearance. It bears no
resemblance to the original song.
5. Tori did one and a half verses of "Rock On" as an intro to
"Girl". This was at an NY concert during the
"Little Earthquakes" tour.
6. "Losing My Religion" is on the soundtrack for the movie
"Higher Learning".
7. Tori sang one chorus of "Sweet Home Alabama" during an
interview at KROQ radio.
8. Not really a song but Tori reads this children's poem over
background music on a KZON Radio charity cassette.
9. During the 11/5/94 Hamilton, Ontario concert Tori was
talking about Trent Reznor. She played about a minute
of "Hurt".
10. Tori has never done a complete version of "American Pie".
Rather, she just does a couple of verses as an intro to
"Smells Like Teen Spirit". She does this as a tribute
to the late Kurt Cobain.
11. In concert Tori would do part of "Whole Lotta Love" and
then go directly into "Thank You".
GENERAL COMMENTS
1. This list includes covers from recordings, radio station
appearances, and both the "Little Earthquakes" and
"Under The Pink" tours.
2. For the most part I've listed the original artist as
being the person with whom the original song is generally
identified. For example, though Roberta Flack isn't the
first artist to do "Killing Me Softly", she was the first
artist to have a hit with the song and many people would
identify it with her. Some songs such as "Amazing Grace"
or "When Sunny Gets Blue" are so widely done that I've
just listed the writers' names under the artists column.
