My bottom | line - Tori has such raw honesty that she could have the world in her | hand with a little professional guidance (though if that would compromise | her music, I'd just as soon have her concerts be slow). Well, Tori's shows are not like, say, P.J. Harvey's: there's no mosh pit at the front or big stage rushes when _Sheela Na Gig_ starts to play. Tori's concerts are sit-down affairs. (Although it depends on the venue: some have seats, and some make you stand for a show. Both times I saw Frente!, there were no seats, and therefore there were mosh pits. Now, Frente!'s music is no more or less danceable than Tori's -- but if people are standing up, crowded together, into the music, and suddenly a popular song with a decent beat starts to play, well then, people will start to dance and move and shake, and sooner or later a pit develops. Anyone ever seen Tori while standing up and seen a similar thing occur? Moshing to _God_ -- what an idea!) Some might think of Tori's concerts as "slow." I'd never thought of that before -- but yes, they are. The music is not "speeded up" for concert (I've seen Suzanne Vega do that), but it is often re-interpreted. You let the music and lights and her voice and her piano wash over you and take you away from this world. But I think slow is a good thing. It sounds to me like you were disappointed a little. But next time you'll know what to expect, and I think your appreciation of her in concert will grow a thousand-fold. My web site (URL in the sig below) is devoted to concert reviews. I have a dozen or so from the Under the Pink tour, and quite a few from the current tour. (BUT I need MORE MORE MORE! Please send me any concert reviews that you have!) _________________________________________________________________________ -- Zeigen (E.
