MY TORI AMOS PENDANT it seems unlikely that a commercial, modern item can focus my spirit and smooth the curves. yet it does, for me. ITS A SIMPLE BLACK NYLON CORD THAT SUSPENDS A PEWTER TRIANGULAR DEVICE two triangles attached at an angle; the concave side has the words "Tori Amos" etched in crude scratches while the convex side contains the phrase "But I believe in peace bitch." FROM THE SONG THE WAITRESS FROM HER ALBUM UNDER THE PINK the song also contains the lyric "they're too many stars and not enough sky" but the power is in the previous line: "i want to kill this killing wish." ITS ABOUT VIOLENCE AND HATRED DYING AWAY TO BE REPLACED WITH CALM i gave one to my ex-girlfriend, katherine, also a big tori fan who wears it in amsterdam and it helped us maintain a necessary connection and i think it once helped her escape from a would-be rapist there IT KEEPS ME SANE (?) but here's how it works: the pendant's not magical; but it does remind me of Tori's music, and any music that I find that Beautiful IS magic and Lucky Besides. __________________________________________________________________________ -- Zeigen estephen@emf.net Post # 22 Zeigen's Dilemma: http://www.emf.net/~estephen/ "ask a fellow waitress" -- Tori Amos, "The Waitress"
