FC's manifesto: sloppy versions circulating

In the wake of the Washington Post's historic decision, it's a buyer's
market for FC's manifesto, but let the buyer beware:  many of the versions
currently being circulated are riddled with serious typographical errors,
ranging from misspellings and misplaced punctuation to garbled sentences
and major omissions.  Of course, the Washington Post's version is by no
means perfect, but it is quite readable, and when supplemented with the
infamous (though hardly critical) paragraph 116, it is certainly the best
reference available. 

In particular, both the html and text versions on the www.pathfinder.com
web site should be avoided at all costs, as they are badly damaged. 
Unfortunately many of the versions floating around are derived from these
sources and duplicate their errors.  The best version we've seen so far is
the one posted by "Bono" to alt.fan.unabomber as a uuencoded zip file,
titled "Manifesto with missing paragraph (116) included."  It is also the
only version we've seen that is suitably formatted for importing into a
word-processor, i.e. each paragraph is a continuous line terminated by two
line-breaks. 

Unfortunately Bono's version still contains many errors, some serious. 
Though proofreading is hardly our surrogate activity of choice, we have
nonetheless taken it upon ourselves to correct ALL the errors in Bono's
version, for reasons which will become clear in due time. To this end, we
have posted two files to alt.fan.unabomber.  The first is a uuencoded zip
file containing our corrected version, titled "Manifesto: Bono version
further corrected."  The second is a list of the corrections, titled
"Differences between CoE and Bono versions."  The latter is posted in
plain text; thus you may easily examine the corrections, and determine
whether they are of any significance to you.
