Ladies and Gentlemen,

I have a Great USENET Quest for you all.

As far as I know, there's not really been a true USENET coffeehouse such
as has been spoken of in the USENET Subplot bits. It could be absolutely
amazing, though.

This doesn't mean some place where people just get up and read poetry.
It's for drinking coffee and for words. Words of every kind. If you
have words, bring them to Cafe BOB(c).

Here's the plan:

Start this in alt.fan.the-bob and spread it all over USENET. Eventually,
we want to create alt.pub.cafe-bob in which to live. In the meantime, we
need to spread this EVERYWHERE so as to make APCB a reality. The
excellent thing is that APCB will not be an alt.fan.* group, for the
discussion of one person or topic.

The idea is to create a community unlike any other on USENET.

People within the community will be encouraged to put something in
their .signatures about them being members of the USENET Subplot, such
as Olorin, myself, and Wednesday have already done. For instance, if
your name was Joe, you could write "Joe, Great Big Guy of the USENET
Subplot."

(Note that Cafe BOB(c) (as invented by Earl Dombroski) is not associated
with Club BOB(c) in any appreciable way.)

We also want to set up a permanent archive for alt.pub.cafe-bob so that
EVERY single post will be available for perusal. Once we overwhelm
alt.config with screams for alt.pub.cafe-bob, the newgroups can begin
sailing through the ether like eels through a river.
