John "Knight" Restrick has noticed that if you rearrange the letters in his name, you get Jerk This Corn. After graduating from U.C. Berkeley in 1990 with a degree in statistics, he used to have a job as a legal word processor in San Francisco, and then he worked with Steve at Diversified and DiversiTech. He then went to Silicon Valley startup, FVC. After that, he ended up at Cisco.
John and Steve have known each other since 1983; they went to Saratoga High School together (and as debate partners Steve's senior year and John's junior year, they were State Champions). Later they lived in a big house with some other fine folks for three years when John was a philosophy and statistics student at U.C. Berkeley. John likes just hanging out and talking about movies, philosophy and politics and debunking other people's money-making schemes.
He is one smart cookie.
