Steal These Links
This is not a comprehensive list of ezines
(visit
John Labovitz's e-zine-list
or the
Yahoo's Art Magazines
page
for that).
I'm not really reviewing the ezines listed below, either, since I'm not very
objective (after all, I'm in the process of editing my own ezine,
Obligatory Fiction, and I've contributed
to some of these).
Anyway, there are some
E-Zine Reviews
available elsewhere thanks to Blaise Faint.
There's also eScene,
which presents awards for the best ezine fiction.
What I do have here is a short list of ezines/magazines I feel are worthwhile.
- Enterzone
Enterzone is like eating Brie after a year-long diet of moldy cheddar.
Fiction, art, sound, hypertext. 99% brilliant.
- Holyboy Road
Eclectic, different, interesting, highly recommended.
- ZUG
Probably the funniest zine/zone/parody thing out there (for now)...tons of
worthwhile sections, especially the pranks bit.
Watch out for that sneaky Christianity message at the end (under
"Sky") though...
- BEATRICE
It's got a lot to offer.
- InterText: The Online Fiction Magazine
The net's oldest -- and, perhaps, best -- fiction-only magazine.
The following things were darn cool when I first linked to them
in 1994, but haven't really been updated since:
Feel free to suggest others for this list.
